The Three Heroes and Five Gallants is a 2016 Chinese television series produced by Huayi Brothers with Tianxing Yiyuan Entertainment (天星亿源影视), based on the 19th-century classic novel of the same name. Starring Chen Xiao, Yan Yikuan and Zheng Shuang, the series premiered on February 17, 2016, on Anhui TV.

The Three Heroes and Five Gallants 

The Three Heroes and Five Gallants (五鼠闹东京, Wǔ Shǔ Nào Dōng Jīng, meaning roughly "Five Rats Wreak Havoc in the Eastern Capital") is a 2016 Chinese series starring Chen Xiao, Yan Yi Kuan, and Zheng Shuang. It's based on the 1879 novel The Tale of Loyal Heroes and Righteous Gallants^note  attributed to Shi Yu Kun.

When Justice Bao Zheng is attacked, he's saved by a swordsman named Zhan Zhao. Soon afterwards, a power-hungry minister named Pang Ji uses Zhan Zhao's name to stir up trouble. The Five Mice, a group of legendary swordsmen, find out about Pang Ji's crimes and decide to deal with him. Unfortunately, Zhan Zhao and Yu Tang, one of the Five Mice, fall in love with the same woman at a time when they need to work together without fighting among themselves.
