Today in 1980, the Grateful Dead played the second of 15 shows at San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre. Spanning 19 days, it became the longest run in the band’s history, later immortalized through ‘Reckoning,’ ‘Dead Set,’ ‘The Warfield,’ and the ‘Dead Ahead’ film.
