A painted wing, a silent plea,

A butterfly alight and free.

Upon a branch, she finds repose,

A fleeting rest before she goes.

From bloom to bloom, a gentle dance,

A vibrant, joyful, sunlit trance.

Past leafy boughs, she weaves her way,

Towards the light of a brand new day.

Her span is short, a precious gift,

Each moment savoured, a sweet uplift.

No time for strife, no room for fear,

Just peaceful presence, crystal clear.

A lesson whispered on the breeze,

To find the beauty in the trees.

To cherish seconds as they fly,

Beneath the vast and open sky.

Let's seize the day, with hearts aflame,

Tomorrow's promise, still a game.

Embrace the now, the here, the then,

With grateful hearts, again and again ..
